XI NORTH – WESTERN BANKING CONFERENCE

On behalf of the Organization Committee we have the pleasure to invite you to the XI North-Western Banking Conference, which is to take place in St. Petersburg from July 26 to July 29, 2006. The venue of the Conference will be Angleterre/Astoria hotel complex situated in one of the most beautiful locations of St. Petersburg.
We expect top managers of commercial banks from all over Russia, the CIS and Baltic countries as well as our colleagues from large international banks to take part in this forum. During the two working days of the Conference reports will be delivered by senior representatives of the Central bank of Russia and other federal bodies, Association of Russian Banks, Saint-Petersburg city authorities, international rating, auditing and consulting companies, managers of commercial banks and their clients – major Russian enterprises.
The imposing level of representation and a distinctive practical orientation have made the North-Western Banking Conference a remarkable event in the life of the professional community. In 2005 the Conference hosted more than 400 participants from about 30 countries and many regions of Russia. The main topics of the Conference this year will be:
- Problematics of management of risks at the present stage of development of bank system. Strengthening risk-management in conditions of growing credit activity of banks.
- Financial markets. New exchange-based technologies.
- Optimization of business processes in consumer lending market.
- International business: borrowing instruments used by Russian banks and enterprises in the foreign markets.
Besides, there will round tables on the following issues: legal regulation of the banking sector, development of operations of financing under a concession of the monetary requirement (factoring), new approaches in project finance.
