On behalf of the Organization Committee we have the pleasure to invite you to the XIV North-Western Banking Conference, which is to take place in St. Petersburg from July 8 to July 11, 2009. The venue of the Conference will be Angleterre/Astoria hotel complex situated in one of the most beautiful locations of St. Petersburg.
We expect top managers of commercial banks from all over Russia, the CIS and Baltic countries as well as our colleagues from large international banks to take part in this forum. During the two working days of the Conference reports will be delivered by senior representatives of the Central bank of Russia and other federal bodies, Association of Russian Banks, interbank currency exchange, international rating, auditing and consulting companies, managers of commercial banks and their clients – major Russian enterprises.
The imposing level of representation and a distinctive practical orientation have made the North-Western Banking Conference a remarkable event in the life of the professional community. In 2008 the Conference hosted more than 400 participants from about 30 countries and many regions of Russia.
The main topics of the Conference this year will be:
· Impact of the global financial crisis on the Russian banking sector

· Priorities for company development in the current economic conditions and market environment

The program of the Conference will also include round-table discussions on the following issues: business process improvement in SME lending, and development of factoring operations.

The conference will be taking place during the white nights period, the most romantic time in Saint-Petersburg, and the organizers traditionally make it a social event as well.
The participation fee is 950 euros, which includes the lease of the conference halls, information materials and meals, as well as an extensive entertainment program - a welcoming party, reception in one of the palaces of St. Petersburg, a party at one of the best city clubs, a boat trip around rivers and canals of St. Petersburg, etc. The cost of the hotel accommodation is not included.
